Juliana Salazar, 26 years old, has been living in New York for the past 4 years and is currently working as US Brand Manager for Ganni. She started her own blog “Made in Chicistan” at university and decided to follow her passion afterwards, making fashion her job. Known by the street style paparazzi for a long time, she is killing it with her daily outfits, which are defined by her mood and schedule, as she likes to say. Fun facts: Her family is originally from Colombia and she also works as a freelancer stylist.
Living in New York and working in such a rapid moving industry, time is something there never seems to enough of so, to me, time is how I choose to spend it. It's really a measure of productivity and how efficiently you use the time you do have-- whether it be focusing on work projects or prioritizing friends and family.
I love the new Oroboro store in Nolita. Oooh also Jessica Hans! She makes the cutest ceramics and recently collaborated with Ganni.
I snooze my alarm a million times before getting up to make a hot tea with lemon and put on music. By the time I get out of the shower I'm normally already running behind schedule so it's a rush to get dressed and out the house!
It's so hard to name one favorite place. Sometimes my favorite is just walking aimlessly throughout NYC on a crisp fall day. Even though I've been living here for a few years now I still have moments where I'm just in awe of the city and so happy to be here.
watch Curb Your Enthusiasm!
Ahhh that's hard to answer! Generally speaking though I think my best memories come from either way too much laughing or the sense of accomplishment.
Late. Especially in the mornings. It's a terrible quality, I know. For some reason it always takes me forever to leave my apartment. Not too play on stereotypes but I blame the Miami/Latin in me hehe.
I love the black on black Gramercy. I love that the shape/style of it is reminiscent of an old watch but at the same time the finishes and sleek design are very modern.

Paris. Mykonos. Space.
Hmmmm when I was younger I was obsessed with gymnastics. It was all I did. I took it very seriously and was quite good. I wanted to go to the same college as my favorite gymnast at the time and eventually make it to the olympics. I'm laughing out loud right now just thinking about this. I stopped when I was about 15 and basically got too tall/lazy.
I know its cheesy and expected but my mom. She's the 6th of 8 siblings and the first one to leave and create a life of her own outside of Bogota. She is the literal American Dream. I'm not sure that ideal exists like it used to, but her independance and perseverance is something I really admire.
Hope to know what I'm actually doing with my life! And maybe live or have lived in Europe.
