What does time mean to you?

Time is far too obtuse to mean any one thing to me, though I will say that I think patience is underrated.

Latest discovery?

This transfixing “Jelly Film” by Jenny van Sommers.

What is your morning routine?

I reckon with getting dressed each morning as if I’ve never done it before, which is of course absurd because according to Malcolm Gladwell I should be an expert at this by now. Then I hop on a twenty-ish minute subway to work and read about politics via the Axios AM newsletter, make a little progress on a sliver of whichever book I’m reading, or write in the drafts of my Mail app.

Your favorite place in New York?

It's a tie between the Staten Island Ferry and the East River Ferry.

On Sundays I…..

Ideally: sleep in! And then catch up on all the reading I’ve bookmarked in my Pocket.

What do you like to do when you have a day off?

Work on my weird little side projects, like my art historical typologies or pom pom signage.

Your best memory?

Too many to choose from but they’re all there in the contact sheets.

I’m always late/on time? Why?

Maybe 5 minutes late, because I insisted on taking the subway or walking as much as possible.

Favorite Rosefield timepiece? Why?

The Mercer in Black wooed me recently because it looks like a Mies van Der Rohe Barcelona chair for your wrist.

Gold or Silver?

Gold to match my class ring.

If you could teleport yourself, where would you go?

Into one of Theresa Duncan’s video games, preferably Smarty. Or the ‘50s in Anarene, Texas.

What do people not know about you?

The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle is my favorite TV show.

Who or what inspired you in life and why?

Pie eating contestants, because of their ambition, persistence, and culinary athleticism.

haven’t lost my watch!
